Kitchen Garden Club began in 2017 as a way of getting the children at Cumnor Primary School loving, and learning, about growing food and then turning their produce into delicious recipes.

From the start we had in mind the things we loved to eat and set about sowing seeds.

​

We restored the old derelict beds at the school, using a no-dig method, recycling and re-using whatever we could find.

​

It wasn't long before we had beautiful beds full of pumpkins and parsley and beetroot and potatoes. 

​

And then each week we weeded and watered and tried out different recipes - from pizzas to pumpkin soup to beetroot muffins!
